Benjamin “Ben” Topor is a principal and board member of A.M.G. Medical Inc. He joined A.M.G. in 1978 and became a principal one year later.

His organizational, administrative and financial management skills blended perfectly with Allan Goldenberg’s sales and sourcing talents.

Before there were computers, much the company data was stored in the hard drive of Ben’s brain.

Along with Allan, they laid the foundation for what would become the company culture and built a strong team that allowed AMG to thrive and to grow. Like Allan, Ben is proud that AMG is still evolving and adapting after close to 50 years.

Today Ben contributes to the company’s strategic direction through his board activities. While no longer involved in the day-to-day operations, Ben can always be counted on for sage advice or guidance when asked.

Ben is involved in numerous charitable and community events. He believes that investing time is equally as important as lending financial support. Currently Ben is President of the Shaare Zedek Synagogue in Montréal. He is also a strong and active supporter of the Israeli Victims of War (I.V.O.W.) program. Additionally, Ben and his family initiated the creation of the M.S. (Multiple Sclerosis) Greatest Needs Fund at the Montreal Neurological Hospital.

Ben has a BSC from McGill University (’72) and continues to live in Montréal with his wife Joanne who, coincidentally, he married in the same year that he became a principal of AMG. He is the proud father of Lisa (Michael), Sabrina (Daniel) and Jordan (Melissa) and grandfather of seven wonderful grandchildren.
