Allan M Goldenberg is the founder and a principal of A.M.G. Medical Inc.

In 1972, Allan founded the A.M.G. Sales Agency. After a period of initial growth, Allan changed the name of the firm to A.M.G Medical Inc. in order to better reflect the evolution of the company and its mission.

Prior to founding the company, Allan spent 10 years working for various surgical instrument companies where he learned about the industry while simultaneously honing his entrepreneurial skills.

Allan was particularly adept at sales and product sourcing. His perceptiveness and willingness to take calculated risks enabled him to see new product and sales opportunities where others did not. In fact, Allan was among the first visionaries who saw the great potential in sourcing products from Asia in general and China in particular. On some of his many visits, he was actually the first North American to visit certain factories.

Allan’s personality was so infectious and endearing that he was able to cultivate supplier relationships that continue to this day. Indeed, many AMG suppliers are counted among his closest friends. The same can be said for the relationships he cultivated with AMG customers.

Whether with suppliers or customers, Allan was all about adding value. As he leveraged relationships to build AMG, he was always mindful to help suppliers and customers with ideas to help them grow their businesses.

The relationships that Allan cultivated enabled AMG to “punch above it’s weight” versus larger U.S. competitors in the Canadian market and they are greatly responsible for the tremendous success of the company

Allan remains a principal but is no longer active in the day-to-day operations. He is involved in numerous charitable undertakings. His main focus is on Mental Health, Diabetes and Religious causes.

Together with Remia, his wife and partner of more than 30 years, Allan spends 6 months in Montreal and the balance of the year at his home in the Philippines. Incidentally, Remia was working for one of our overseas suppliers when they met.

Allan is the proud father of Mark (Bridget) and Darren (Grace) and grandfather of five beautiful grandchildren.

Allan attended Sir George Williams University and obtained a Masters degree from the University of Life.
